Decomposition Nutrient Cycling Global Change Plant Soil Interactions
The Lab of Michael N. Weintraub, Ph.D.
The ESE Lab is dedicated to developing a mechanistic understanding of key soil processes, to gain insight into how terrestrial ecosystems function, and to predict how they will respond to disturbances.

Dr. Weintraub is currently recruiting a postdoc. More details here.

We are also pleased to offer Total Organic Carbon/Total Dissolved Nitrogen analysis of soil extracts (including KCl and K2SO4, e.g. soil microbial biomass extracts in 0.5 M K2SO4), water, and other liquid samples on a fee for service basis to other labs using a Shimadzu TOC-Vcpn total organic carbon analyzer with total N analyzer. Dissolved inorganic C can also be analyzed upon request. For more information or a price quote, please contact Dr. Weintraub
