Secor Metropark GPR

Figure 17: Secor Metropark GPR Profile 1 (Figure 6) shows deposition of deeper sand layers from the northeast.  Sand (marked in yellow) at the crest of this profile was reworked by wind.

 

Figure 18: Secor Metropark GPR Profile 3 (Figure 6) shows deep reflections overlapped by reflections from the east, consistent with the hypothesis that this topographic high developed as a spit growing from the end of a barrier island.  Overlapping reflections show that sand layers get younger to the southwest.
