Projects

Students in the REU program perform research with faculty members that can be presented at professional conferences.  We strongly encourage the students to present at professional conferences, and provide travel funding support through the REU grant.  Since 2000, many student presentations have been given at conferences such as the East Lakes Division of the Association of American Geographers, the Ohio Academy of Sciences, and the National Conference for Undergraduate Research.  An important evaluation component of our program is the number of papers presented at professional conferences, as read below there are many.
