Live Science: lots of good stuff here. They once posted a "Top 10" creation myths for all of you 'intelligent design' fans - wish I'd made a copy.
Discovery Channel: short videos on a variety of topics, mostly associated with television programs.
VOLCANOES
Check out the seismicity of Mt. St. Helens and other Cascades Range volcanoes. The Webicorder links (scroll down) display seismograms, each with 12 hours of recorded ground motion (except for the current activity seismogram, the most recent posted for each station).

TSUNAMI
Many tsunami links on this page - check out the photos and videos
PLATE TECTONICS
USGS online book, The Dynamic Earth - free and quite readable.
MISC
Short story about a dowser (water witch) - man who claims he can find water using a willow twig. I'm skeptical regarding this folk practice, having learned of many failures of water witching.
