The teaching labs in Bowman – Oddy Hall have been virtualized!!

We have created Virtual versions of BO2051 and BO3051 which are available from anywhere with internet access. These Virtual Labs are identical to the computers in the instructional labs themselves with all of the same software.  No longer will your students need to find an open seat in the crowded labs, as long as they have internet access they can use these Virtual labs. Currently there are 10 Virtual Clients available to each of these labs providing 10 additional seats to each lab. Vlab usage is closely monitored and more seats can be allocated within hours. Users will be able to share and save files directly with their host computer, and print to a printer connected to their host computer.

To access these Virtual Labs please browse to http://www.utoledo.edu/it/vlab/. There you will find information detailing how to setup your computer to connect to the Virtual Labs. You will need to install a small application on your computer which will provide the needed connectivity. Both Windows  and Mac OSX operating systems are supported. If you perform instruction in either of these labs please install the software and test these labs prior to the start of the fall semester. No changes will be made to the vlabs after the start of Fall semester.  Please make sure you know where to direct your students  for  this resource.
