Mountaineering has been a passion of mine since completing my first mountaineering training with Sierra Wilderness Seminars at Mt. Shasta (California) in 1999.  Since then, I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to climb in some of the worlds great mountain ranges, including the Cascades, Rockies and Swiss Alps. More importantly, I am honored to have climbed with friends, partners who became friends, climb leaders, and remarkably skilled guides with whom I have entrusted my life.  I have learned a lifetime of knowledge from these people and am greatly indebted to them for their support and help.

I am by no means an expert, so a goal of every adventure is to learn something new that might make the next climb a little easier.  Mountaineering is an education process as well as a practice of discovering how far you can push yourself mentally and physically.  The pages associated with this website chronicle the major climbs in which I have been honored to take part.  You wont find K2, Everest and Denali (not yet) in my list of climbs.  However, the summits I have stood atop have each been thrilling in their own ways, whether they involved steep ice climbing, poor visibility, high winds or simply perfect conditions.

I dedicate this webpage to my family.  Despite their apprehension of my participation in this rather dangerous activity, they have always supported my dreams and sense of adventure.  Thank you.
