2. Minimum requirements in the major (35 semester credits)

All students must complete:

EEES 2210 (4 credits) Mineralogy
EEES 2220 (3 credits) Megascopic Petrology
EEES 2500 (1 credit)  Computer Applications ...
EEES 3200 (3 credits) Stratigraphy and Sedimentology
EEES 3320 (3 credits) Structural Geology
EEES 4000 (3 credits) Invertebrate Paleontology
EEES 4010 (3 credits) Microscopic Petrology
EEES 4610 (3 credits) Geophysics
EEES 4650 (6 credits) Geology Field Course
EEES 4920 (2 credits) Senior Geology Seminar

3. Related science requirements 

CHEM 1230 & 1240 (4 credits each)  General Chemistry I & II
CHEM 1280 (1 credit) General Chemistry Lab I
MATH 1850 & 1860 (4 credits each)  Calculus I & II
     OR
MATH 1750 & 1760 (4, 3 credits) Math for the Life Sciences I & II
PHYS 2070 & 2080 (5 credits each)  General Physics I & II 
OR
PHYS 2130 & 2140 (5 credits each) Physics for Scientists & Engineers I & II

 4.  Additional requirements

Students must achieve at least a 2.5 GPA in the major.  Additional geology courses may be taken but only a maximum of 50 credits may be applied toward the degree requirement.  All courses in the major and related areas  (sections 2 & 3 above) may not  be taken as P/NC (pass/no credit).
